DeKalb bonds downgraded  | ajc.com.

This is not good news for the county. We are sliding further from the AAA credit rating. This means the county will pay more in interest, sort of like a person with marginal credit. Thats bad news for all of us, and I wonder how the county will spin this as not so bad news. What was more disturbing was the fact that Moody’s downgraded the county’s outlook from stable to negative. There could be long-term pain for residents if this slide continues.

    Regretfully, I don’t think many citizens will pay attention to this nor understand the impact it will have on the county’s ability to borrow money.
