Only Atlanta surpasses DeKalb in $100,000 administrators per student
From Dekalb County School Watch blog:
The two worst sytems in the metro doling out the most cash to non teaching jobs. Hmmm?? That seems to me to be a fine place to start cutting expenses. Especially mid level admins who Don’t do much. During this economic downturn, companies nationwide slashed jobs. If you had a position that could be done by two others and they cost less, you were gone. DeKalb schools needs to get someone in there who would take the axe to positions that are duplicated, or that could be farmed out to other admins, or outsourced altogether. As a person who does not work in the school system I would not know what the inner workings of the employment of admins would be, but if they could be gotten rid of legally, then the slashing should start there and work its way down.
